Overview

The Princeton University Art Museum, one of the nation’s preeminent cultural institutions in an academic setting, seeks applications for a casual hourly position to support the Museum’s social media presence. Reporting to the Associate Director for Communication and Information, the temporary social media associate will maintain the content and general operations of the Museum’s social media accounts.

Responsibilities

The Museum’s Social Media Associate will be responsible for the following:

  • Creating a regular cadence of content across the Museum’s Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.
  • Manage overall social media operations via the Museum’s social media accounts and its Hootsuite platform account.

Qualifications

 Required Qualifications:

  • Strong familiarity with the Hootsuite, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter platforms.
  • Understanding of the Museum’s social media content tone and brand voice.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to execute both planned social media postings and reactive communications executions.
  • Strong project and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of an art museum, art gallery, or other cultural heritage social media experience.
