The TigerData Metrics Developer will be responsible for partnering with the TigerData team to understand monitoring tools in use and necessary metrics for storage usage, performance, and growth trends. Using the appropriate tools (Python, Linux command line), the TigerData Metrics Developer will collect and organize defined data into a database, spreadsheet or file. If time allows, the TigerData Metrics developer will explore how to display the data in a coordinated dashboard to show current usage of TigerData storage services. This is a temporary summer position with approximate start and end dates of June 3 and August 2.
Essential Formal Education (minimum level required for this position): High school diploma or GED.
Essential Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities: Experience with API usage from a programming language.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities: Experience with data visualization would be helpful.
