Overview

Senior Visual Designer

 

The Office of Communications is looking for a Senior Visual Designer who will manage all graphic design tasks, refine projects and drafts, and generate creative ideas. The ideal candidate will study design briefs and determine requirements, conceptualize visuals based on requirements, prepare rough drafts, and present ideas. In addition, they will develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software while using the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic. The Senior Visual Designer will work with editors and the creative director to produce the final design.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and create visually compelling graphics, layouts, and design elements for print, social, and editorial media.
  • Collaborate with OOC teams to ensure cohesive brand representation.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and tools to continually enhance our visual assets.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Visual Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and innovative design work.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
