The Lewis Center for the Arts seeks technical support for Drawing and Painting classes in the Program in Visual Arts. This position provides technical support in the classrooms, as well as hands-on assistance for both faculty and students inside and outside of class time.
The position oversees supply inventory and the procurement of supplies, as well as the preparation and maintenance of the classrooms and related equipment. This position also provides in-class support, including technical demos, hands-on assistance with set up of still lives, and support of required safety and hazardous waste collection procedures. This is a part-time 16-hour/2 days a week position.

Candidates should have technical knowledge of the craft of painting and drawing that includes how to prepare various grounds, the uses of a variety of mediums in oil and acrylic, and how to build stretchers and other painting supports. They should be adept at working with faculty and a student population and organizing a classroom
