Overview

The Per Diem Physical Therapist is responsible for implementing a program of physical therapy treatment and rehabilitation for eligible Princeton University students. This role is responsible for the care of non-varsity athletes and the general student population. This position reports to the Coordinator of Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

Clinical, 90%

  • In cooperation with and upon referral from University Health Services providers, provides physical therapy services to eligible university students.
  • Communicates with patients and providers regarding change of status reports and plan of care as necessary.
  • Communicates home exercise rehabilitation programs in writing or via electronic messaging/email.

Administrative, 10%

  • Completes accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in accordance with legal standards.
  • Assists in scheduling of patients along with other staff Physical Therapists.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
  • New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners Physical Therapy license
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automate External Defibrillator (AED) certifications
  • Basic computer skills
  • Attends to the cultures and identities of others and adapts work style as needed
  • Is not judgmental about differences and able to acknowledge mistakes, making amends when necessary
  • Demonstrates curiosity and open mindset regarding those of different identities and cultures
  • Articulates an authentic commitment to inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • At least 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy
  • Training in health equity and other diversity and inclusion topics
