The Departments of German and Comparative Literature are seeking a detailed and highly-organized Administrative and Events Coordinator to provide programmatic administrative support to both units.
This is a benefits-eligible, 10-month position reporting to the Manager of Finance and Administration in the German Department.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
• 3 years related work experience
• Advanced proficiency with Drupal, Mailchimp, and Canva
• Ability to manage social media platforms (e.g., Instagram)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including word processing, spreadsheets, slide decks, and forms
• Expertise with Zoom including scheduling and configuring virtual meetings or webinars
• Excellent writing skills suited to an academic environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, take initiative, interpret manuals and directions, learn new platforms, locate resources, and ask questions as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook calendar and email functions, including serving as a delegate for another user
• Prior experience working in a higher education or nonprofit environment
• Experience with University systems, including EMS, Prime, Concur and SharePoint
• Familiarity with the German language
