The Program Manager will lead a collaborative initiative that brings together graduate students and K-12 educators to produce open-source learning materials meant to support the teaching of late ancient and medieval world history in New Jersey. The Program Manager will be responsible for content creation, market research, project management, event planning, and building relationships with key partners across the state of New Jersey. They will plan and supervise collaborative workshops in which content-expert graduate students will work directly with K-12 educators to produce learning materials directly relevant to NJ state curricular standards for the teaching of late ancient and medieval world history. The Program Manager will also have final responsibility for overseeing the creation of an open-access website to host LAMPE's learning materials, and for ensuring the highest standard of quality for the published products.
Essential Qualifications
PhD in History, with at least 7 years relevant research experience and teaching experience in Medieval Studies
Excellent writing ability
Excellent communication skills
Project management skills
Experience with digital learning environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with K-12 programming
Event-planning experience
Experience overseeing website development and management
