As a key member of the Network Services team, the Manager, Network Field Services, is responsible for the operational performance of network services in the field. The manager oversees provisioning activities for all network services projects, and manages a team of technicians, ensuring timely service delivery, optimizing network performance, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
The manager collaborates with other teams to develop and implement strategies to improve network services and resolve any issues on both wired and wireless networks. They will exercise strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of network systems and technologies, ensuring compliance with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) network and security standards.
This role provides consultation and leadership on projects, including radio DAS systems, cellular DAS systems, in addition to specialty networks such as campus camera systems, digital signage, AV systems, and all types of telephony solutions, including VoIP, and campus Blue Light phone systems.
Additionally, the Manager, Network Field Services, will work closely with key stakeholders within the University to establish, secure, and maintain a reliable network technology infrastructure for critical infrastructure systems.
