Overview

The Office of Communications seeks a social media coordinator to assist the social media manager with administrative and community management needs for Princeton's flagship social media channels. The casual hourly coordinator will work 10-15 hours most weeks, mainly during the week with occasional night and weekend assignments. This position can accomodate in person or fully remote work. 

 

The hourly rate for this role is $35-45/hr. 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Draft content for Princeton’s Bluesky, Facebook and X accounts.
  • Using Sprout Social, review incoming messages and comments across Princeton's social media channels and respond as appropriate or flag to manager for further actions.
  • Approve members in Princeton Parents Facebook group.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media channels including Bluesky, Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Active user and fluent in social media best practices; experience managing social media. channels for a higher education, brand or nonprofit.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tool, Sprout Social.
  • Creative problem-solver able to work nimbly in a deadline-oriented manner.
  • Highly detailed and organized.
  • Flexible and open to feedback and revisions.
  • Passion for community building and customer service.
  • Available to work nights and weekends occasionally.
