The Senior Retirement Specialist executes and audits the administration, communication, and delivery of high-level customer service to Princeton’s diverse workforce and to retirees for all retirement plans. This position is a critical member of the total rewards team. As such, the incumbent is an active participant in discussions regarding plan design, implementation, communication, and rollout of retirement related plans and programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Audit and execution of all retirement administration, reporting, communications, filings, compliance, and data integrity.  
  • Monitors legislation to ensure retirement plans are compliant with all regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors and analyzes program and plan utilization for effectiveness of design, administration, communication, service, and vendor management efficiency. 
  • Recommends and implements changes to improve service delivery, efficiency of operations, and administrative controls.
  • Provides support with projects within and outside the scope of the total rewards area as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree
  • 4 years retirement administration experience
  • Team player who is flexible, self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Extensive experience in applying analytical skills with demonstrated ability to synthesize, translate and interpret large amounts of technical and complex data to make prompt, sound decisions
  • Knowledge and appreciation of operating in a highly regulated environment
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and assignments and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to establish solid working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with vendors, managers, colleagues, and employees at all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with vendor management tools and techniques
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft
