The Senior Compensation Analyst is a critical member of our team, dedicated to providing high-level compensation consultation to Princeton’s diverse workforce. This position also leads the preparation of key compensation studies and drives the modernization of compensation and employee cost reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide high level compensation consulting support for major areas of the university.  This includes organizational competitiveness, job evaluation, salary setting, and equity analysis.
  • Develop and deliver tools, communications, education, and training that support university compensation programs and provide clarity to the organization on compensation policies and practices.
  • Prepare complex analyses and reports to monitor compensation costs, market trends, and overall competitiveness using a variety of human resources information systems.
  • Lead various compensation projects and participate in HR cross-functional teams to help achieve success in departmental goals.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of consulting and/or analysis experience
  • Bachelors degree
  • Excellent presentation, consulting, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and judgment skills
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing compensation
  • High level of integrity and professionalism with a balanced approach to problem solving and maintaining confidentiality
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to establish solid working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with vendors, managers, colleagues, and employees at all levels

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Experience with the development and delivery of compensation and/or business analytics
  • Familiar with compensation and/or total rewards focused training and communications
  • Demonstrative creative problem solving skills
